ART 100 BOSTON Presents First Annual Original Works of Art Exhibition

Inaugural Curated Exhibit of Small Works for $100

BOSTON, MA ART 100 BOSTON presents its first art exhibition featuring over 300 original works of art by 48 artists from December 5 through 22, 2014 at the Piano Craft Gallery located at 793 Tremont Street in Boston. The exhibition will include paintings, photographs, sculptures, prints, collages and constructions created by established and emerging artists working in the Boston area. The event commences with a reception on Friday, December 5th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

ART 100 BOSTON is making art collecting available to a wider audience and creating an informal buying process, “My goal is for everyone to feel entitled to an original piece of artwork and for ART 100 BOSTON buyers to go through the process and feel the excitement of selecting an original piece of art, meeting the artist, learning about artist’s inspiration and technique and feeling the financial capability to enter the art world,” states Pares Mallis, curator and organizer of ART 100 BOSTON.

Each artist will display a thematic series of work, ranging from six to ten pieces the artists have created especially for this exhibition. ART 100 BOSTON is a platform for art lovers to buy art at the affordable price of $100, and encourages artists to create and display independent ideas. Artists include Ekua Holmes, painter and collage artist whose narratives surge with energy; Sara Reilly’s playful paintings of coquettish girls and anthropomorphized animals; Goce Davidov’s molecularly inspired clay reliefs; and Kaitlin Thurlow’s explosive abstract paintings.

Paul Goodnight, one of the America’s important artists recommended several artists for ART 100 BOSTON, “ART 100 BOSTON helps artists to showcase their work and the price allows everybody to own original art. This is a good investment both monetarily and humanitarianly,” says Goodnight.

The ART 100 BOSTON exhibition will be held Tuesday through Sunday from 12:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m. at the Piano Craft Gallery, a historical Boston landmark which offers the general public thought-provoking and engaging exhibitions. ART 100 BOSTON is open to the public and there is no admission fee.

ART 100 BOSTON was established in 2014 by Pares Mallis, artist, arts administrator and curator of 30 years in both the US and Greece.  The Exhibition provides a platform for contemporary artwork and makes art collecting available to a wider audience
